Merry-Go-Round

Round and round the combat goes: a turn strip at the top of the screen for any game system. It is built on Foundry's own combat tracker, so it works wherever the sidebar tracker does, and it looks like the core interface.

Merry-Go-Round in round 1 of a D&D 5e combat: the active combatant enlarged with an accent frame on the left, the others in initiative order with their initiative, effect icons and hit point bars, and the round panel with the turn arrows and End Combat

Features

  • Turn order: the active combatant is enlarged, those who have acted fade to the left, and changes glide into place. Large combats use chevrons and fading edges, without scrollbars or extra height, and the strip fits between the scene controls and the sidebar (a wide one makes room for the scene list and Visual Active Effects' icons). Use the chevrons, wheel or trackpad, or focus the turn order and use ArrowLeft/Right and Home/End.
  • Initiative on each tile, with a d20 to roll it using the system's own roll.
  • Health from the token's Bar 1, with a setting for who sees it. D&D 5e adds temporary hit points and death saves.
  • Effects as icons; defeated and hidden combatants are marked.
  • Turn controls built in, and the sidebar tracker's clicks: select, open the sheet, right-click menu.
  • Easy Initiative support: type initiative into the badge, and the GM can drag tiles to reorder.
  • Collapse: the caret button beside the strip slides it out of view and back, like the sidebar; the button stays put. Remembered per client.
  • Follows Foundry's light and dark themes and fits Spit & Polish.
  • Steps aside when SWADE Combat Carousel is active.
