Rosé Pine for Markra
The three Rosé Pine variants as custom themes for Markra, the Markdown editor.
| File | Variant | Slot |
|---|---|---|
themes/rose-pine.css |
Rosé Pine | dark |
themes/rose-pine-moon.css |
Rosé Pine Moon | dark |
themes/rose-pine-dawn.css |
Rosé Pine Dawn | light |
Markra takes one file for light and one for dark, so pick one dark variant and Dawn for light.
Install
- Copy the files from
themes/into Markra's theme folder (Settings → Appearance → Open theme folder; on Linux~/.local/share/dev.markra.app/themes/). - Settings → Appearance: enable Custom theme and choose a file for light and for dark.
- Click Refresh themes after editing a file.
What is themed
App colours, editor text, headings (h1–h6 iris, foam, rose, gold, pine, leaf), links, inline and fenced code, syntax highlighting, selection and caret. Each file defines the palette once as --rp-* variables at the top, so recolouring is a one-line change.
Colours are the official values from rose-pine/palette. Heading and syntax roles follow the Rosé Pine neovim theme.
Notes
- Written against Markra 2.12.1. Markra has no theme version contract, so a later release may add variables.
- Dawn uses the official colours as they are, and gold, rose and foam are low contrast on its light background (about 2–3:1). Adjust
--editor-h3-color,--editor-h4-coloror the--editor-hl-*variables if that bothers you. - Callout blocks keep Markra's own colours.
License
AGPL-3.0-only (see LICENSE), because the themes are derived in part from Markra, which is AGPL-3.0. The Rosé Pine palette is MIT, see THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md.
